TOPOLINSKI, MaryEllen (Hanley) - age 88, of Fenton, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties. MaryEllen graduated from St Michael's Catholic High school in Flint in 1945 and from St Mary's of Saginaw with her RN Degree. She moved with her husband Paul Topolinski to Alpena where she worked in the Emergency Department for many years before moving back to Flint. MaryEllen worked at St Joe's Hospital and then served as a private duty nurse until she retired. MaryEllen loved spending Sunday afternoons & Holiday's with her family and was always ready for a game of "31" or a boat ride around Lake Fenton or to Case's Island. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Cancun to spend time with her brother Mike and family. MaryEllen was preceded in death by her husband Paul Topolinski, her son Jerry Topolinski, her parents Michael and Alma Hanley, her sisters Beverly (Fred) Mansour, Joyce (Jim) Schnelker and Helen (Lee) Toups. She is survived by her sons Paul D Topolinski & Jack (Sharon) Topolinski, her Grandchildren Jamie (Evan) Holbeck, Jonathan Topolinski, Jerry (Alicia) Topolinski, Erin Topolinski and Mario Pulido and her Great Grandchildren Mason, Emma, Emma & Michael, and her brother Mike (Betty and MaryJo) Hanley.
