CALL, Mary Anne (Davey) - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022. Per her request cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends and family at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 1-3 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church.
Mary Anne was born January 29, 1941 in Flint, the daughter of Theran Alvin and Florence Alice (Sickles) Davey. She was a 1959 graduate of Beecher High School where she was a track star, played field hockey and was a guard on the basketball ball team. She attended Mott Community College. She married Thomas Elwyn Call July 12, 1961 in Flint and he preceded her in death January 4, 2020. Mary Anne had resided in Swartz Creek for most of her life and wintering at Venture Out RV Resort in Mesa, AZ. She was employed by the Mott Foundation. She was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and where she volunteered in many different ways. She also was a member of Canada Creek Ranch in Atlanta, MI. Mary Anne was volunteer for Helping Hands and worked the election polls for the City of Swartz Creek. She was a Girl Scout and a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter's troop, as her mother did for her.
She is survived by: her children, Brent Thomas Call of South Lyon, Bruce David Call of Swartz Creek, and Kristen Annette (Jeff) Owen of Flint; grandchildren, Derek (Amanda), Gretchen, Aaron, Layne, Sylvia, Tony, and Amanda; great grandchildren, Ty and Breelynn; nieces and nephews, Scott, Mark and Julie Ann.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-law, Beverly and Theodore Edick. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
