Mary Elizabeth Sugar

SUGAR, Mary Elizabeth - age 97, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Argentine Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, February 23, 2008 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Mgsr. Richard Groshek celebrant. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a scripture service will be held at 6:30 PM Friday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Argentine Care Center. Mrs. Sugar was born November 27, 1910 in Iselin, PA, the daughter of Andrew and Barbara (Chepka) Gordish. She married Brunick Sugar, Sr. on November 21, 1927 in Iselin, PA and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1996. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: three daughters, Mary Ann Raichle of OK, Stella Stitt of PA, Blanche Dunlap of Swartz Creek; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, also survive. Her son, Brunick, Jr.; seven brothers; two sisters; infant daughter and great-granson, Travis also preceded her in death.
