Mary Storms

STORMS, Mary Jane- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died February 4, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday, 10-11 AM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Mary was born August 12, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of John and Anna (Boxhorn) Ringler. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. She married Darwin Storms on December 29, 1955 in Clio. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2009. Mary was a cafeteria supervisor for Swartz Creek Community Schools. She is survived by her children, David (Jackie) Storms of Geneva, OH, Jeffery (Kimberly) Storms of Swartz Creek, Linda Storms of Swartz Creek, and Craig Storms of Lenox; grandchildren, Daniel Storms of Ohio and Ashley Storms of Lenox; great-granddaughter Destiney Storms; siblings, Helen Pickard of Flushing, Donna (Norman) Storms of Flint, Robert (Marilyn) Ringler of Linden; sister in law, Effie Ringler of Flint Township; several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin; brothers, John and Edward Ringler; and sister, baby girl Ringler. Mary's family extends a special thank you to Reverence Hospice.
