SPORER, Mary M. - Age 82, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2008 at her home in Fenton. Born July 25, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to Roger and Marguerite Kerwin. Mary is survived by her husband John, a resident of Tanglewood Assisted Living, whom she married on June 5, 1948. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Brown. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Stelma and Marguerite Schoonfield, as well as her children James (Lois) Sporer, David (Kathryn) Sporer, Kathryn (Gordon) Preller, Anthony (Cheryl) Sporer, Ann (Steven) Amodt, Richard (Anna Siemaszko) Sporer and Gregg (Martha) Sporer. She has 18 grandchildren, Kara (Shane), Jonathan (Kelly), Aaron, Amy (Jeff), Ben, Michael (Erin), Jamie, Heidi, Tyler, Nick, Brian, Tony, Michael, Hannah, John, Eric, Trevor and Breeanne. Two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Zoe, and a Belgium exchange student, Marina who will remember her whenever they read a book. Mary was an avid reader, and a friend of libraries, whether in Detroit where she recorded books-for-the-blind, or in Fenton where she moved in 1994. Mary and John and their large extended family spent summers at Runyan Lake near Fenton since the early 1950's. She loved to travel and enjoyed sharing memories of the many places she and John would go, often with their children or parents accompanying them. Mary will be remembered for making memories, organizing camping trips, hosting summer weekends at the lake , creating holiday traditions, and for her extraordinary loving care provided to John, In lieu of flowers, donations to www.parkinsonsfoundation.org  or your local library would be greatly appreciated. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant.
