Mary E. SMITH

SMITH, Mary E. - Age 84, of Flint, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial immediately following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Mrs. Smith was born March 1, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Rex and Mary (Hammond) Kingsbury. She has resided in Flint her entire life. She retired from AC Spark Plug after 30 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Morris Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are: 4 sons, Donald and wife Sharon Smith of Burton, Charles and wife Sandra Smith of St. Petersburg, FL, Curtis and wife Ina Smith of Farwell, Tony and wife Tracy Smith of Casper, WY; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Rexine Holbeck of Highland, Irene Dustin of Flint, Geraldine Grant of Fenton; many nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude E. Smith; 2 sons, Lawrence and Carl Smith; her parents, Rex and Mary Kingsbury; 3 brothers, Gerald, Marvin and Rex Kingsbury; 3 sisters, Beulah Norris, Vera Massy and Beverly Shock.
