Mary Sherman

SHERMAN, Mary L. - Age 78, of Durand formerly of Flint, died Monday, January 16, 2017. Services will be held 1PM Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to one's choice. Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Gertrude (Kindell) Meyers. Mary married Melvin Sherman on July 7, 1956 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2003. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles, computer games and playing cards. Surviving are: three sons, Russell Sherman of Burton, Steven (Rebecca) Sherman of Swartz Creek, Walter (Teresa) Sherman of Vernon; grandchildren, Rebecka (Andrew) Dippold, Michael (Amy) Sherman, Amanda Sherman, Abby Sherman, Trevor Sherman; great grandchildren, Allison, Lillian, Benjamin, Molly, Ariel, Jade and one on the way; brother, Gerald Moody of Flint; many nieces and nephews.
