Shepherd, Mary D. O'Dell, of Lake Fenton passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, 2581 N. Long Lake Road. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday and 12-4 & 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 Broad Street, Linden.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linden.  Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Lake Fenton United Methodist Church.  Mary was born in Fenton Township, daughter of  Charles and Esther (Tripp)O'Dell. She had owned and operated Shepherd's Service Station on Torrey Road with her husband Rex from 1936 until their sons took over the business.  She had also worked at Comber and Fox and retired from J.L. Hudson Company.  Mary was the oldest member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church and a member of W.S.C.S. there.  She had served the church school and many community organizations over the years, and had received a Gold Medal for the Senior Olympics, Walking Division.  She had been a Charter Member of Pioneer Memorial Association of Fenton and Munday Townships. The family wishes to thank the Argentine Care Center for all the loving care given Mary.  Surviving are two sons, Victor (Alice) Shepherd, David (Sandy) Shepherd both of Lake Fenton, 6 grandchildren, Victor (Lynne) Shepherd, Shari (Mitchell) Gillespie, Ronel (Brent) Sands, Jeffery (Tracy) Webb, Dawn Webb, and Shannon Shepherd, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, also nieces Judy and Esther Hatch.  She was preceded in death by her husband Rex in 1965 and a grandson Michael and a sister Rose Hatch.  Those desiring may share online condolences or post a tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
