Mary Lou Scott

Scott, Mary Lou, age 73, of Lake Fenton, died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor David G. Mulder officiating. The family will receive friends 10AM Wednesday until the time of service at the church. Interment in Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Area XIII Special Olympics or Fenton United Methodist Church Building Fund. Mary Lou was born February 28, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of Fred and Marie (Davis) Langdon. She attended Flint Northern High School.  Mary Lou married Leslie Scott in 1949 in Flint and they have lived in the Fenton area for the last 35 years. She worked in early childhood education for the Flint Board from 1958 to 1985. After retirement, Mary Lou worked at Gerych's, which she loved very much.  Mary Lou was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society.  Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Leslie Duane; 3 children, Michael Scott (Nancy) of Ballwin, Missouri (near St. Louis), Leslie Andrew Scott(Penny) of New Hampshire, Susan Amlani (Mohamad) of Lake Fenton; 6 grandchildren, Karen, Michael, Alikhan, Adam, Karima, Evan; 1 great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn.
