Mary Park

Mary Jane Park (nee Cashman) of Linden died peacefully at home on Friday, May 31, 2019. She was born in Sparta, WI on January 18, 1936 to Frank V. and Florence M. (Reeves) Cashman. She grew up in Farmington, MI and attended Eastern Michigan University where she met her future husband, Dale F. Park of Flint, MI. Dale and Mary were married Sept. 8, 1956. After college they moved to Flushing, Michigan. Mary changed her career plans and instead of being a teacher, she went through nursing school and became a Registered Nurse. She spent half of her career at Hurley Medical Center in Flint and the latter half at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor. Mary was a Master Gardener and an avid amateur genealogist. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean Mortola, ex-husband/lifelong friend Dale Park, and her daughter Kimberly Park. She is survived by her brother Thomas Cashman of Texas, and her children Dalynn Park (Gregg Heinrichs) of Ann Arbor and Martha Park of Linden, and also by her greatly loved grandchildren Kross Park of Ann Arbor and Kingsley Park of Flint. A private family gathering and cremation have taken place.
