OCONNELL, Mary C. Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, January 22, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will be held at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Mrs. OConnell was born September 5, 1922 in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Joseph Willard and Isabel (McIntosh) Fox. She married Thomas Patrick OConnell on May 7, 1949. She was a member of the Flint Association for the Deaf. Surviving are: beloved husband, Thomas OConnell; beloved daughter, Diana OConnell, both of Swartz Creek; four sisters, Edna and husband, Bill Roberts of Roswell, NM, Frances and husband, Paul Ladd of Hillsdale, MI, Margaret and husband, Basil Potter of Naples, FL, Kate and husband, Paul Redding of North Adams, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Rose Jackson, Bernice Whitten, Annabelle Mahoney; and many other special friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Vincent; two sisters, Carol and Teresa; beloved companion, Buttons.
