Mary Lau

LAU, Mary - Age 92, of Fenton, formerly of Lansing, died Friday, August 25, 2006. Cremation rites have taken place and her family will return her cremated remains to Korea next summer. Mary was born January 29, 1914 in Seoul, Korea. She immigrated from Korea with her son in 1956. She worked in food service for the State of Michigan Health Department and St. Lawrence Hospital. She also was employed in custodial work at Michigan National Bank dowtown Lansing. Mary faithfully attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Lansing, was a member of the Cristo Rey and participated in weekly bingo at Catholic Central in Lansing until she moved to Rockwell Memory Imparied Center in Fenton in 2004. Surviving are: son, Thaddeus 'Ted' Lau and wife, Andrea of Fenton; two granddaughters, Kristina Lau of Houston, TX, Kamella Lau of Goleta, CA; one sister and many nieces and nephews also survive in Korea.
