Mary Lale

LALE, Mary Isabelle -- Age 88, of Flint, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Friday, March 23 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 E. Fifth Ave., Flint, Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Family and friends will gather at the church after 11 AM Friday. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Thursday with a rosary being prayed at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association or St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund. Mrs. Lale was born October 29, 1918 in Flint the daughter of Joseph and Lucy Root. She was married to Chalmer J. Lale on June 19, 1941 in Flint. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Lale is survived by: her husband Chalmer; six children, Sandra and husband Henry Smeets of Fenton, James of San Antonio, TX, Sue Ann and husband Douglas Stitt of New Lothrop, Joan Fox of Davison, John and wife Kelli of Sterling Heights, Thomas and wife Brenda of Linden; twenty seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harrison Root and wife Delores, Patrick Root and wife Patricia; two sisters, Josephine McCollum, Rita Root; many nieces and nephews.
