Mary B. Laird

LAIRD, Mary Bell - age 93, of Flint, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rev. Bruce Nowacek officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Laird was born March 11, 1914 in Kentucky, the daughter of Cook and Clara Elder. She married Lloyd G. Laird and he preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Laird was a cashier at Ivanhoe Farms for 48 years. She enjoyed writing, poetry, journalism and cooking. Most of all she loved her home and her family. Surviving are: two daughters, Delores Prince and Mary Laird; grandchildren, David Prince, Pamela Rene Mangold and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Bigsby; many nieces and nephews.
