Mary Hindmon

HINDMON, Mary Lee -- Age 89, of Swartz Creek, died August 14, 2014 at Swank Home. Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday August 17 at West Flint Church of the Nazarene, G 2254 S. Dye Rd., Flint. Dr. David Bowser officiating. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Saturday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 2 PM until time of service at the church on Sunday. Committal services Monday at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association. Mary was born December 8, 1924 in Kennett Missouri the daughter of James and Eula (Davis) Fuller. She married J.B. Hindmon on September 7, 1940 he preceded her in death on November 30, 2001. She had worked at K-Mart from 1964-1974. She was a devout Christian and attended many churches in Flint and the surrounding area. . The lasts five years of her life she lived at Swank Home in Swartz Creek. She loved to sew, quilt, crochet, and spend time with all her family and friends. Surviving are: brother George (Gracie) Fuller of Greenville, SC; children, Cora (Chet) Winfrey of Swartz Creek, Carolyn (Dan) Rhanor of Swartz Creek, Terry (Irvin) Hewson of Booneville, AR, Jerry (Donna) Hindmon of Swartz Creek; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grand-children; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her great friend Blonda Havlichek. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B.; and daughter Lawanda (Ed ) Ford of Swartz Creek. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
