Mary Gorzenski

GORZENSKI, Mary Lou - age 76, of Fenton, died Monday, June 12, 2017. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Thursday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mary was born October 14, 1940 in Dearborn, MI, the daughter of James and Iva (Bohlinger) O'Connor. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Dearborn and attended college at St. Mary of Orchard Lake. Mary was the secretary of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for 15 years and found great fulfillment in being of service to the needs of the parish. She was a life-long defender for the sanctity of life. Surviving are: four children, Mary Ann (Jeffrey) Kost of Linden, Lisa Ann Miller of Linden, Thomas Michael (Leni) Gorzenski of Apollo Beach, FL and Monica Ann Gorzenski of Farmington Hills; eight grandchildren, Peter, Carolyn, Corinne, Andrew, John, Maria, Jake and Joe; six siblings and many nieces and nephews also survive.
