EAGLESON, Mary Ellen - Age 63, of Flint. After a two year battle with cancer, Mary joined the Lord, surrounded by family on May 15, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, G-2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Fr. Tim Nelson, celebrant. Visitation will be 6-8PM Sunday and 1-4 and 6-8PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A rosary will be prayed 7PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Building Fund. Mary was born November 21, 1945 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Flores) Tafoya. She was a 1963 graduate of Ainsworth High School. She married Donald Eagleson Sr. in June of 1970 in Flint. She had been employed by Willowbrook Manor for 11 years. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to the care of her family. Surviving are: children, Donald Eagleson Jr. of Flint, Maria Elena (Michael) McCann of Topeka, Kansas, Raquel (Curtis) Yapchai of Grand Blanc; beloved granddaughter, Lolyana and anticipated birth of baby Bryce Yapchai; brothers and sisters, Robert (June) Reyna of St. Helen, Rose Tafoya of Flint, Olga Kleckner of Flint, Joseph (Rudy) Tafoya of Kaleva, Fred (Rhonda Ureche) Tafoya of Linden, David Tafoya of Indian River; mother-in-law, Wilma Eagleson of Grand Blanc; many nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; 2 brothers, Lorenzo Tafoya and Richard Tafoya; father-in-law, Robert Eagleson, Sr. The family extends appreciation to the staff of Genesys E.R. and 2 North for their excellent and compassionate care. In addition, heartfelt thanks to Mary's co-workers and friends at Willowbrook for their unconditional and loving friendship.
