DELANEY, Mary Patricia "Pat" - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Steven Makranyi celebrant. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Friday from 4-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM and at church Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Catholic Charities of Flint or Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Pat was born July 25, 1923 in Gaines, the daughter of Francis Michael and Nora (Allen) Delaney. She received a Bachelor's in Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She had resided in Swartz Creek her entire life. She retired as a teacher from Davenport University. Surviving are: sister, Elizabeth "Beth" Freeman; nieces, Mary (Barry) Bale, Kathy (Joe) Reiff, Karol (Dave) Spoenner, and Karen (Charles) Winkle; nephews, Michael (DeeAnn) Freeman and Tim (Lilly) Freeman; and several grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousin.
