BEDNAR, Mary Louise - age 78, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 in AZ. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc with Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint where a vigil service will be held 7:30 PM at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wymore, NE followed by burial in Wymore Cemetery, Wymore, NE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for an organization to be decided later. Mrs. Bednar was born July 1, 1936 in Walthill, NE, the daughter of George G. and Della Catherine (Stanek) Fritts. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nebraska in 1958 and married William Edward Bednar on August 17, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons, NE. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2002. She was a retired school teacher from Brandon Community Schools and had resided in Grand Blanc since 1970 where she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are: children, Jeff and wife Lynn Bednar of Naples, FL, Kathy Smith of Fenton, Marcia and husband Timothy Robb of Troy; 8 grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Bednar of Naples, FL, Bailey and Emma Smith of Fenton, Noah Williams, Elizabeth and William Robb of Troy, Shannon Robb of Chicago.
