Mary Anna BALABANIAN

BALABANIAN, Mary Anna - age 90, went home to be with the Lord on February 2, 2011. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Nathaniel Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mary was born May 27, 1920, to the late Rufus and Anna (Haase) Geer. She married George Balabanian on June 29, 1946 at Davis Methodist Church. Mary was a compassionate woman of God. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Order of St. Luke, and Pineview Apostolic Faith Church. Mary was engaged in Aircraft Production during World War II. Mary was a homemaker, fun and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George, brothers Carroll and Roy Geer, sisters Lillian Geer and Nettie Hartsig, in-laws Henry (Doris) Balabanian, Simon (Henrietta) Gullian, Kenneth (Lilly) Thomas, Peter (Rose) Alberts, Don (Mary) Roberts, Donald Kibbe, John Dome, and Loyd Hartsig. Mary was a loving mother to Shelia Balabanian and Arlene (Joel) Eickholt, loved by her grandchildren Scott (Heather Loso) Chimner, Sarah (Wilmer) Kibbe, Stephen Chimner, Genevieve and Joshua Eickholt, and great-grandchildren Reese, Alexa, Riley, Catherine and Samantha. Mary is also survived by her sisters Viola Kibbe, Dorothy Dome, sister-in-law Della Geer, many nieces and nephews.
