Mary Jane Abbey

ABBEY, Mary Jane, age 75, of Linden, died April 17, 2005 at home. Funeral service will be held 2PM Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday and 12PM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Linden Presbyterian Church or a charity of ones choice. Mary was born on August 29, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Loomis and Ethel (George) Lewis. She married Gordon Robert Abbey in Flint on May 20, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2002. Mary resided in Linden since 1972 and was a member of the Linden Presbyterian Church. She participated on a bowling league for many years, including some state tournaments. Mary was a wonderful mother, who was actively involved in her childrens lives. Surviving are her 4 children, Caron and husband Greg Mathison of Fenton, Barbara and husband Steve Bowers of Linden, Larry and wife Debbie Abbey of Whitehall, Mark and wife Debbie Abbey of Linden; 12 grandchildren, Ann, Connie, Mike, Tim, Greg, Steven, Gary, Mary Beth, Rachel, Joe, Laura, Mitchell; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin and wife Margie Kramer of Kingston; and many nieces and nephews.
