Marvin Shaw

SHAW, Marvin C. - Age 80, of Linden, passed away June 7, 2018. Marvin was born March 11, 1938 in Flint, the son of Clifford and Bernice (Watson) Shaw. He lived all of his life within 20 miles of where he was raised on his father's farm in Linden. He graduated from Mandeville High School in 1956, that summer he became employed by Evans Food Service, where he retired from in 1998 after 42 years of service. Marv's simple joy in life was his yard, garden, plants and beautiful flowers that he could grow so easily. Travel was his passion and always a new adventure he enjoyed. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and soulmate, Joanne; his seven daughters, Sandra, Kathy, Karen, Dina, Michaela, Corrie and Audrey; grandchildren, Mat, Jami, Jennifer, Brandon, Trenton, Shannon, Chad, Rachel, Amber, Trevor; great-grandchildren, Seith, Alice, Kennedi, Victor and Zoey; sister, Dorothy (Jerry) Pace; brothers, Lee (Marilyn), Don (Lora) and Tim (Cathy). He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Dwayne Sey; grandson, Dustin Yax; brother-in-law, Johnny Sey. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Presbyterian Church Fish Program or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
