Marvin Banner

Banner, Marvin Wallace - Age 86, of Burton, died August 14, 2022. Funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 1:00 pm until the time of service. Marvin was born February 8, 1936 in Erwin, Tennessee, the son of James Monroe Banner and Mary Gladys (Smith) Banner. He grew up in the mountains of Tennessee, one of 14 children. He worked at General Motors with 36 years of service. He was an avid gardener. He was a family man and loved his family more that anything. He had a great sense of humor. He loved Jesus. Surviving are: daughter, Mary (Dan) Lougheed of Durand, sons, John Banner of Davison, Charles (Monika) Cash of Clarksville, TN, daughter, Tammy (Jim) Aspin of Flushing; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brother, Bill Banner; sister Juanita Mathes. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita in 2010; daughter-in-law, Shib Banner; and 2 sons, James Gary Cash and Gregory William Cash. Tributes may be shred at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
