Martha Retherford

Retherford, Martha Louise - Age 87, of Flint Twp, died September 29, 2022. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday October 4 at Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris, Pastor Bill Christensen. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of the service Tuesday October 4 at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Trinity Assembly of God for Missions. Martha was born September 17, 1935 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, the daughter of Robert Gibbs and Mattie (Ward ) Gibbs. She worked at Irvin Hirsch for years.  She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God (for Missions). She enjoyed puzzles, music, and her bible studies. Surviving are: three daughters, Debra Dowell, Sherry Jones, and Dawn Lundene; many grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Holland and Bonnie Wyche; five brothers, Leonard, Bobby, Claude, Douglas and Dalbro. several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary; daughter Melody Belill; and best friend Laurie Goss. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
