Martha Fay Nottingham, age 82, of Lennon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 20, 2025, at More Life Tabernacle, located at 6430 Lennon Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with Bishop Jerry Stoner officiating. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours from 4-8 PM on Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, and from 12 PM - 1 PM on Monday at the church. Interment will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Born on January 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, Martha was the daughter of Alfred and Wilma Smith. A proud graduate of Flint Northern High School in 1961, she married Charles V. Nottingham on March 8, 1967. Martha was deeply devoted to her family and community, having worked for 20 years as an accountant at General Motors before retiring in 2000. A dedicated member of More Life Tabernacle, Martha found joy in her congregation and was known for her kind spirit. In her retirement, she shared her talents as a seamstress, taking delight in sewing and alterations. Martha leaves behind a loving family that includes her three children, Vickie (Fred) Marsh of Toledo, OH, Kenneth (Celina) Nottingham, and David (Sonya) Nottingham, both of Clio; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Smith, and three sisters, Elizabeth "Janey" (Jerry) Mears of Montrose, Patty (Mike) Burnette of Davison, and Annette (Tom) Ostrander of Burton, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Nottingham, her parents, and her sister, Alpha Foster. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Martha's memory may make memorial contributions to More Life Tabernacle.
