Martha Marie HAMMER

HAMMER, Martha Marie - Age 45, of Flint, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Avalon Hospice. A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts Fair Winds Council of Genesee County (since both Martha and Angela were girl scouts) or to your favorite charity in Martha's name. Martha was born June 16, 1964 in Flint. She was a 1982 graduate of Fenton High School and a graduate of Mott Community College in Nursing. She played the French horn in the FHS marching band, loved traveling in her RV and had lived in Arizona, California, Colorado and Michigan. Martha had an adventurous spirit and was a loving mother to Angela. Surviving are: daughter, Angela Hanners (9 years old); Angela's father, Grant Hanners, both of Fenton; father, Frederic Hammer of Titusville, FL, step-mother, Vivian Hamilton of Titusville, FL; sister, Sandra Hammer of Brighton.
