Martha Chandler

CHANDLER, Martha Jean - Age 81, of Fenton, passed away in the comfort of her son's home on Sunday, October 14, 2018. A Funeral service will be held 1 PM Thursday, October 18 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens. Pastor Marty Shouse officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday; and 11 AM until the time of service Thursday. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Martha was born March 18, 1937 in Marmaduke, Arkansas, the daughter of Charlie and Mattie (Pruett) Midkiff. She spent most of her life living in the Fenton area. Martha married William Chandler January 26, 1957 and they raised four boys together. She worked at Koegel Meats in Flint for 17 years. Martha had a passion for horses, she loved snowmobiling in her younger years, really enjoyed her vegetable garden and loved traveling all around the country with her husband in their motor home. She also loved singing karaoke in her later years, but most of all spending time with her family. Martha is survived by her three sons, Eugene (Deb) Chandler, Ed (Donna) Chandler, and Jeff (Kim) Chandler; grandchildren, Khrysten Chandler, Matt Chandler, Jeffrey Chandler, Alicia Chandler, and Chavez Espinoza; great grandchildren, Myles and Ethan Chandler. She is also survived by her siblings, Wanda Lortz, Brenda (Carl) Jackson, Marvin (Beth) Midkiff, and Cloyce Midkiff. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William; son Ted Chandler; and grandson Zach Chandler. Tributes may be shared at sharpfuneralhomes.com
