BROWN, Marta L., age 84 of Mt. Morris, died at home, Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Mrs. Brown was born in Germany on September 10, 1924 and came to Michigan in 1954. She was married to Edward C. Vyse, he preceded her in death in 1968. Later she married James C. Brown and he preceded her in death in 1998. Mrs. Brown owned and operated Vyse's Brush Coating Co. for several years. She was a long time member of the First Apostolic Church of Mt. Morris and a member of the ladies auxillary of the church. Surviving is her son, Richard Vyse and wife Terri of New Smyrna Beach, FL, 2 daughters; Gerlinde Adams and husband Steven of Sterling, Alaska and Debra Todd and husband James of Mt. Morris. Also surviving are 4 step-sons; James Brown and wife Carol of Flint, Roger Brown and wife Sue of Clio, Raymond Brown and wife Edith of Clio, Robert Brown of Hesperia, MI, 1 step-daughter Jean Guthrie of Flint. There are 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ludwig and Anna Blumenstock, her husbands, a daughter, Darlene and 2 sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 30, 2009 at the First Apostolic Church of Mt. Morris, 11650 Church St.in Mt. Morris. Pastors Joseph and Joe Carpenter will officiate with burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.m. at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Twp. Monday, Mrs. Brown will be taken to her church to lie in state from 10 A.M. to service time. Online condolences and tributes may be posted on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
