Marna Smith

SMITH, Marna Lee Bare - age 77, of Linden, died Thursday, February 16, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22 at the Argentine Church of the Nazarene, 16248 South Seymour Rd (Argentine Rd), Linden. Pastor Robert Lindsay officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 10 AM -2 PM and 5PM -8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad St., Linden. The family will also received friends from 10 AM until the time of service at the church on Wednesday. Marna was born June 17, 1939 in Washington, DC the daughter of Russell and Eileen (Mitchell) Larson. She loved playing the piano and organ and writing music. She played her music in a lot of churches. Marna enjoyed crocheting, crafts and painting. She loved her cats. Surviving are two children, Vicki Hoeksema and David Gallagher; grandson, Timothy (Jennifer) Hoeksema; four great-grandchildren, Moledy, Paul, Ava and Miles; brother, Phil (Marsha) Larson; special friend and caregiver, Karan Perkins. Marna was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Warner Gallagher, Robert Bare, George Smith and son, Theodore Gallagher.
