LAMB, Marlin Lee - Age 67, of Linden, died Friday, June 2, 2017. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM, where a VFW Memorial Service will be held at 7PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Marlin was born October 17, 1949 in Herrin, IL, the son of John and Lodean (Moake) Lamb. He was a 1968 graduate of Linden High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army, where he received a Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars. Marlin married Patty Jo Miller December 23, 1980. He had worked for the Iron Workers Local #25, where he took part in the construction of the Zilwaukee Bridge, which fondly became known by family as "Uncle Marlin's Bridge". He also retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Flint DAV and Linden V.F.W. Price Crane Robinson Post #4642. He was an avid fan of the MSU Spartans, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers and playing golf with his brother, Brad. Surviving are: his wife, Patty Jo; siblings, Wesley (Pat) Lamb, Priscilla (Tom) James, Phyllis (Lenny) Hoffman, Colleen (Doug) Perry, and James (Pam) Lamb; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Miller (Lilly), Peggy (Hewitt) Judson, and Michael Miller (Michelle); god son, John (Mallery) Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brad Lamb; sister, Nancy Richmond; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Eileen Miller; brother-in-law, Donald David Miller; and sister-in-law, Lori Miller.
