Marlin DOTSON, Sr.

DOTSON, Marlin, Sr. - age 67, of Clio, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will be held 4-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marlin Dotson, Sr. Memorial Fund. Mr. Dotson was born August 4, 1942 in Hurley, VA, the son of Cecil and Zella (Rife) Dotson. He married Nancy Bailey on November 21, 1966 in Grundy, VA. Mr. Dotson owned several businesses throughout the years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandchildren. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; three children, Susan Marie Childers and fiancé, Chris Reno, Marlin Dotson, Jr. and wife, Amber, Jacqueline Dotson and fiancé, Joshua Knight, all of Clio; five grandchildren, Justin, Brittney, Paige, Kirstin, and Reagen; six siblings, Bobby (Shirley) Dotson of VA, Benny (Sandy) Dotson of Flint, Carol Sue (Jim) Russell of Hale, Glenna Smith of TN, Brenda (Allen) Brouillet of CO, Janet (Greg) Borgeding of Flushing.
