Marlene Wherry

WHERRY, Marlene Aina - Age 69, of Swartz Creek, died on February 6, 2015. A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 12 at the Swartz Creek VFW Hall, 3131 S. Elms Rd., Swartz Creek, under the auspices of AMVETS 3720. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice. Ms. Wherry was born on December 22, 1945, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of Ragnar John and Eileen (Meagher) Johnson. She was the Chaplain for AMVETS #3720 for many years. Marlene is survived by her son, Ken (Angie) Wherry of NC; daughter, Kaye (Patrick) Butterfield of Norton Shores, MI; step-daughters, Rhonda Dyer of Perry, MI, Cathy (Mark) Field of Louisville, KY; grandchildren; brother, Richard Johnson; cousins, Jim (Sue) Johnson, Karen (Bob) Williams; lifetime friend, Sally Szigety; good friend, Dave Mason.
