Marlene Landers

LANDERS, Marlene Sylvia - Age 85, of Fenton, passed away January 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday. Burial in Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Those desiring may make a contribution to the charity of their choice. Marlene was born July 13, 1932 in Detroit, the daughter of Hicks Ross and Shirley Elizabeth (O'Connell) Hawkins. Marlene worked at Eby's Wallpaper and Paint for many years, where she enjoyed helping customers. She was a gifted painter and displayed her work at many craft shows. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Penny (Giovanni) Lucia, Bonnie (Bill) Wentz, Teresa (Walter) McCurdy, Kenneth Landers, Robert Landers, Laura Thomas, Thomas (Diane) Landers, John (Diane) Landers; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Richard) Stark; brother, Leonard (Sandy) Hawkins; special friends, Jean and Ella. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven; daughter-in-law, Arlene; brothers, David and Fred; sister, Helen. Special thanks to the staff of Almost Home for their loving care the past six months and to her dear friend, Marshall for keeping her looking even more beautiful than she already was for so many years.
