Woggermon, Mark W. -- Age 68, of Swartz Creek, went to be with his beloved family members on December 4, 2019. Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday December 11, 2019 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice or Home Care Foundation. A life-long area resident, Mark is the son of Harold A. and Elizabeth "Bette" Woggermon. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy from December 1969 to 1971, mostly aboard the ship USS Sumter (LST-1181) in the Far East Pacific region. The ship made several supply missions to South Vietnam in support of U.S. troops there. Upon his discharge and return to Flint, Mark worked at the Chevrolet Flint Truck Assembly plant for 18 years. A quiet man, Mark enjoyed his solitude, and loved gardening, fishing, and music, and spending time with his family. He possessed a great sense of humor, and he will be terribly missed by his brothers Steve (Doreen) Woggermon of Swartz Creek and Charles Woggermon of Flint, sister Virginia (Dave) Rowan of Stafford, Virginia, and several nephews and nieces. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
