Mark H. 'Sam' Turpen

TURPEN, Mark H. Sam  Age 72, of Lake Orion, formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Friday, 1-4 and 6-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Rotary Club of Flint in memory of Mark Turpen. Mark was born September 15, 1931 in Seattle, WA. He had resided in Lake Orion and Singer Island, FL for the past 8 years, coming from Flint where he had resided for 60 years. He married Suzanne M. Smith on February 26, 1966 in Fenton. He attended Albion College and was a graduate of the U of M Business and Law Schools. Mark practiced Law in Flint for 40 years. He was a member of the Flint Rotary Club and Genesee County Bar Association. He was a past president of Planned Parenthood and Center City Association. Surviving are: wife, Suzanne; 2 sons, Andrew Turpen of Lake Orion and Jody Gottlieb of Atlanta, GA, Jeremy and wife Stephanie Turpen of Lake Orion; precious grandson, Jack Aidan Turpen; sister-in-law, Betty and husband Ed Ciesielski of Linden; niece Jennie Mooney of Oxford; nephew, Russ Ciesielski of Linden.
