Mark James Gebhardt

GEBHARDT, Mark James - Age 72, of Houghton Lake, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023.  Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Visitation will be held a the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.  

Mark was born October 9, 1950 in Flint, the son of James R. and Margaret Ann (Ballard) Gebhardt.  He was a 1968 graduate of Hamady High School. He married Betty S. Allen June 6, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.  He had resided in Houghton Lake for the past 12 years coming from Byron.  Mark was employed by Buick Motors, the Golden Nugget, The Road House and Michigan Window Tinting.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling and most of all spending time with his loving family.  

Surviving are: his wife, Betty (Tom Swick); loving companion, Teresa "Terri" MacKenzie of Houghton Lake; daughters, Ashley (Mike) Westerfield of Holly and Kay (Devin Ricthie) Gebhardt of Houghton Lake; grandchildren, Noah, Carson, Faith and Mason; brother, Randy (Jennifer) Gebhardt of Byron; sister, Stephanie Gebhardt of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
