DONAHUE, Mark Alan - Age 62, of Elmira formerly of Flushing, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Living Word Church of God, 6325 Calkins Road, Flint. Pastor Tim McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Friday from 4-8 PM and at church Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mark was born September 10, 1961 in Flint, the son of David Alan and Theresa S. (D'Angelo) Donahue. He was a 1980 graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and he received a Associates Degree from Phoenix Institute of Technology in Architecture. He married Jacqueline Lynne Peel November 7, 2009 in Flint. Mark had resided in Elmira for the past 4 years coming from Flushing. He worked for Brian Olson Construction (Gaylord, MI) and was owner and operator Donahue Construction. He was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge #430.
Surviving are: his wife, Jacqueline; step-sons, Bryan McCree (girlfriend, Katelyn) of Flint and Jake Peel (Fiancee', Jen) of Montrose; mother, Theresa (Roger) Povolny of Flint; sister, Annette (John) Kahrs of New York; brother, David (Alicia) Donahue of Grand Blanc; nieces and nephews, David (Jill) Donahue of Goodrich, Addison Donahue of Colorado, Conor Donahue of Grand Blanc, Matt Biocchi of Florida, Jillian Kahrs of New York and Nick Kahrs of New York; great niece, Eleanor Donahue of Goodrich; and special cousin, Sharie Rutherford of Colorado; several other cousins; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Angela) Peel, Jr.; niece, Heather (David) House; nephews, Kenneth Peel III, Michael (Hope) Peel, Texas; and lifelong friends, Tom (Teresa) Gisewhite, Jimmy (Rosanne) Neises, Kevin (Mary) Fiebernitz, David Shell, to name a few.
