CRANE, Mark L. age 92, of Fenton, passed away, Saturday, January 13, 2024. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fenton 860 N. Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor James Bell and Pastor Josh Gates officiating. Interment with Navy Honors 11:00 AM Monday, January 29, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Visitation 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM Friday January 26, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at church. Memorial Contributions in Mark's memory would be appreciated to First Baptist Church of Fenton.
Mark was born, July 27, 1931 in Grand Blanc, Twp., the son of Phillip O. and Ellen R. (Daniels) Crane. He married Evelyn M. Guernsey in Holly on November 2, 1958. Mark proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He served as a House Parent at Michigan School for the Deaf. Mark was employed by GM-Pontiac Motors for several years and retired in 1993. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fenton and the Joy Club at church. Mark was a lifetime member of the Fenton VFW. He also served as the score keeper for the Genesee Christian Soccer Team. Mark also enjoyed playing chess, reading his Bible and studying Biblical Creation topics.
Mark is survived by, his wife Evelyn; children, Catherine (Paul) Althoff, Paul D. Crane, and Paula Anderson; grandchildren, Brandon Althoff , and Mariah (Jeffrey) Bey.
Mark was preceded in death by, his parents; son-in-law, Richard Anderson; siblings, Sarah Anderson, Phillip Crane, Jr., Allen Crane, and Nancy Stack. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
