CHALUT, Mark Edward - age 63, of Fenton, died May 24, 2021. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 29, 2021 at  Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI with Pastor Mark Pretznow officiating. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Friday night by Fr, Roy Horning. Mark was born January 13, 1958 in Flint, the son of Edward and Mary (Baksa) Chalut. He was a 1976 graduate of Holy Rosary High School. He married Melissa Thomas in 1986. Mark had worked for Hamady Brothers Grocery for many years and later returned to school and received a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from University of Michigan in 1999. Mark was an Engineer with Delphi (Aptiv). He was a University of Michigan sports enthusiast. Mark enjoyed spending time Up North on his property at the lake with his family. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. Surviving are: wife of 35 years, Melissa; two children, Jacob Chalut of Lansing and Samatha Chalut and fiance, Mitchell Hicks of Auburn Hills; parents, Edward and Mary Chalut; siblings, Renee (James) Sly, Michael (Kerry) Chalut, Suzanne (Paul) Burnash, Edward (Geanene) Chalut; 9 beloved nieces and nephews, several grandnieces and grandnephews.
