Marjorie Marie Snell

SNELL, Marjorie Marie  age 89, of Lapeer, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 1, 2003 at West Flint Church of the Nazarene, 2254 Dye Rd., Flint with Rev. Clarence Morehouse and Rev. Tim Holcomb  Densmore co-officiating. Interment will be held at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Thursday and 1-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility, 1544 Suncrest Dr., Lapeer, MI 48446. Mrs. Snell was born January 10, 1914 in Seewhy, MI, the daughter of Rev. Robert C. and Rose Anna (OBrien) Warland. She married Gerald Snell in Flint on June 21, 1933 and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1967. Mrs. Snell has resided in Lapeer since 1985 coming from Millington and Everitt. She was a charter member of West Flint Church of the Nazarene where she was very active for many years. She was also a member of Otter Lake Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Snell had worked at Falls 5 & 10 Store for many years. She worked for Bakers Coffee Shop while in Everitt and while in Florida, she worked with the elderly. Surviving are: daughter, Eleanor and husband, Howard Benton of Millington; daughter-in-law, Maxine Snell of Birch Run; four grandchildren, Barbara and husband, Fred Miller of Burt, MI, Ann and husband, Jeff Miller of Grand Rapids, Virginia Benton of Royal Oak, Shelley and husband, Geoff Stuart of Columbiaville; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy and Jessica Miller, Michael and Amanda Stuart; two brothers, Kenneth Warland and wife, Alma of Flint, Jack Warland and wife, Onalie of Swartz Creek. She was also preceded in death by: her son, Robert Snell; grandson, Howard Dean Benton; sister, Elizabeth Stevenson.
