Marjorie Elaine Rawson

RAWSON, Marjorie Elaine  Age 79, of Gaines, formerly of the Fenton/Linden area, died Monday, January 12, 2004 at Durand Convalescent Center. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St., Fenton with Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment will be held at Butman Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Community Home Health and Hospice. Mrs. Rawson was born November 4, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Francis M. and Lottie B. (Brown) Brill. She married William Ross W. Rawson on August 9, 1948 in Cass City and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2001. Mrs. Rawson lived in the Fenton/Linden area most of her life and after retirement moved to Lenoir City, TN until moving back to Gaines in 2001. She was a former member of Fenton United Methodist Church, the Fenton Eagles and Mavis Lanes Bowling League. Surviving are: four children, Lynn M. Fauth of Fenton, Barry L. Rawson of Sebring, FL, Thomas W. Rawson and wife, Linda of Fenton, Janis R. and husband, Arthur Gallop of Gaines; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur W. Brill of Houghton Lake, Francis M. Brill and wife, Leone of Fenton; two sisters, Beatrice Thomas of Powell, TN, Phyllis Chandler of Flint; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; twin brothers, Roy and Albert Brill; brother, Joseph Roy Brill; twin sisters, Minnie and Winnie Brill.
