NIERESCHER, Marjorie, P., "Marge", age 93, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth Street, Fenton, with Rev. Joshua Hoover officiating. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Church or the Fenton Historical Society. Marge was born in Fenton, the daughter of Raymond and Olive (Dibble) Parker. She was the great granddaughter of Clark Dibble, the founder of Fenton. She married William "Johnnie" Nierescher in 1937. Marge had co-owned and operated Johnnie's Greenhouses, with her husband, for 40 years, retiring in 1985. She had been a life member of St. Jude's Episcopal Church, serving on the Vestry, a member of the choir, Ladies Guild, past president and honorary member of the Bayview Club, Life Member of the Fenton Music Club, Flint Florist Club, Michigan State Florist Association, past president and member of the Fenton Junior Child Study Club, and Board of Directors of the Fenton Historical Society. She also was the Fenton Centennial Queen in 1934, attended the Detroit School of Business, and had worked at the Genesee County Courthouse. Survivors include daughters, Freya Hutchinson of Holly and Francine and husband David Zick of Bloomfield Hills, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Martinson, Christopher and wife Pamela Hutchinson, Elizabeth Zick and husband Kevin Meehan, 3 great grandchildren, 2 cousins, Vivian Borkowski of Lennon, and Betty Hath of Midland.
