Marjorie Rueckert - HULTQUIST

March 15, 1918 — June 26, 2010

HULTQUIST, Margery Rueckert-, age 92 of Holly, died at home, Saturday, June 26, 2010. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the West Court St. Church of God, 2920 West Court St., Flint. Burial will be at Bendle Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek on Monday from 3 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday from twelve noon to 8 P.M. Wednesday, Mrs. Hultquist will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Memorial gifts may be offered to the Carriage Town Ministries. Mrs. Hultquist was born in Lansing on March 15, 1918 the daughter of Ellis and Mina (Sellers) Geyer. Margery had lived in the Flint area for over 70 years. Mrs. Hultquist was a long time active member of the West Court St. Church of God and worked for over 50 years on the church's Living Nativity Scene in December. She was very proud of having a college degree from Mott College. She had been a cooking teacher for many years and her love of cooking extended far beyond family. Margery was an active parent in the Dye School Community while her children were growing up. She loved to travel and had visited 6 of the 7 continents. Surviving are her children: Judy Fick (Jack) and Janet Black (George); Step-children; Beverly Nunemaker (Larry) , Alice Stovin (Scott) and Carl J. Hultquist (Roxanne). Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands; Maynard Rueckert, Carl Hultquist, daughter, Virginia and a son Bill.
