Marjorie Lenore Brunet

BRUNET, Marjorie Lenore (Larson) - age 83, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Celebration of Life will be held 7 PM Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Johnson Center (door 7) of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of the service Monday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to North Central Michigan College Foundation Scholarship Fund or the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brunet was born February 7, 1926 in Petoskey, the daughter of Harry O. and Mabel Larson. She was a 1945 graduate of Petoskey High School and a 1949 graduate of Michigan State University. She married Robert Brunet in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Brunet taught in Vassar, Beecher and Flint Bendle Public Schools for 34 years. Surviving are: three children, Thomas Brunet (Brenda) of Wyoming, MI, Dr. Cameron Brunet-Koch (Bruce) of Petoskey, Lisa Eikey (Kevin) of Goodrich; seven grandchildren, Bradley, Jamie and Joseph Brunet, Brett and Lyndsey Koch, Benjamin and Eric Eikey; sister, Mary Loy Schneider (Paul); sister-in-law, Mary Lois Larson; brother-in-law, Harry Brunet (Ruthanne); several nieces and nephews.
