DUNCAN, Marion Gertrude, age 95, of Linden, formerly of Durand, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Rev. James Duncan officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice Care Center. Marion was born May 10, 1916 in Lansing the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel (Leedle) MuMaugh. She married James Emerson Duncan on November 8, 1934 in Durand and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1984. Marion and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Durand most of their lives. She showed Registered Jersey Cattle at the large shows and locally. Marion was a past Girl Scout Troop Leader and Sunday School teacher. She was a Life Member of O.E.S. Chapter 244 and past president of Women's Fellowship in Wisconsin. Surviving are her 4 daughters, Dr. Sharon Duncan of Friday Harbor, WA, Carolyn Miller (Donald) of Byron, MI, Louise Wells (Robert) of Troy, MI, Debra Macke (Larry) of Hawkins, WI; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Sprague (Rex) of Brighton, MI.
