BARKER, Marion V. - Age 86, of Fenton, died December 29, 2014 at her daughter, Kathleen's home in Nolensville, TN. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Dwight Ezop celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-7:30 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a rosary at 6 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Marion was born March 26, 1928 in Detroit, the daughter of Lorenzo and Madeline (Langlois) Mattison and was a member of the second graduating class of Mercy High School. She was married to William Glenn Barker on July 3, 1948; he preceded her in death on June 11, 1998. Surviving are: children, William Barker, Madeline (James) Higgins, Robert (Kathy) Barker, Kathleen (Brian) Lueck, David (Cathleen) Barker; grandchildren, Michelle and Kristin, Jacqueline and Daniel; brother, Richard Mattison; sister-in-law, Joyce; brother-in-law, Herb Holcomb. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Lucas, Thomas Mattison, Margaret Clark, Vincent Mattison, Helen Alarie, Byron Mattison, Betty Ann Holcomb.
