PEMBERTON, Marilyn Elizabeth - Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at her home. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Friday, January 27, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Del Hudson and Pastor Steve Higley officiating. Interment in Lovejoy Cemetery, Durand. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the National Neurofibromatosis Foundation, 95 Pine St., 16th floor, N.Y., N.Y. 10005; the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 414 13th St., Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94612-2603; Avalon Hospice, 2360 Stone Bridge Drive, Flint, MI 48532; or the charity of their choice. Marilyn was born June 30,1929, in Durand, MI, the daughter of Lester and Florence(Wrigglesworth)Huff. She had resided in Swartz Creek for many years. She was married to James A. Pemberton on February 6, 1954, and he preceded her in death April 22, 2005. Mrs. Pemberton was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son James E. and wife Diane of Swartz Creek; three grandchildren, John, Charles and Jamie; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Taylor; brother Robert Huff and wife Nell of Durand, MI; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charlie; two brothers, Wilbur 'Bo' Huff, Ronald 'Jake' Huff; and sister, Jenny Lahring. The family wishes to thank Marilyn's many caretakers, including the staff of Avalon Hospice, who assisted with her care at home over the past year.
