Marilyn A. Burke

Marilyn A Burke (Nov. 17, 1943-Nov. 26 2023). Peacefully entered eternal rest at home with loved ones nearby. Born in Detroit to Mary and Ignatius Stipak. Survived by loving husband Daniel Burke, daughters Jenifer Thomas and Julie King, grandsons Parker John Thomas and Noah Daniel Thomas.

Marliyn was an avid reader and tea drinker. Ever present was a stack of library books and she always had a room with a wall (or two!) dedicated to her personal library. She could tell you, in great detail, about the most recent book she was particularly moved by. Marilyn was creatively-minded and her surroundings always displayed her keen eye and charming sense of whimsy. Kind-hearted and curious, Marilyn was always able to make friends easily and was kind to family members and strangers alike. Much loved by her family, her absence will be deeply felt. Marilyn was a lover of animals. She and Dan had adopted many wonderful dogs over the years.
