Marie French TAYLOR

TAYLOR, Marie French - Age 92, of Linden, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Fenton, 860N. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Josh Gates will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairplains Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, and from 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Fenton. Marie was born August 18, 1918 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Dick and Lillian (Been) VanWeezel. She was married to Robert H. French in 1938; he preceded her in death in 1972. She was then married to Lawrence Taylor in 1990; he preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Taylor had resided in Linden since 1957, coming from Grand Rapids. She was employed by Hudsons in Fine Jewelry Sales. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church of Fenton. Surviving are: son, Robert Bruce and wife Roberta "Bonnie" French of Lansing; step-sister, Dorothy Bowler; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Holly Legan; sister, Pauline Phillips; brothers, Dick and John VanWeezel.
