Marie J. Swales

SWALES, Marie Jeanette- Age 72, of Corunna, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Brian's House.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday, where a vigil service will be held at 7 PM.  Marie was born February 11, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of Emil J. and Catherine (Asaro) Villarreal.  She married Richard L. Swales on May 4, 1962 and he preceded her in death. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 40 years, working for St. Joseph Hospital and retiring from Flint Osteopathic Hospital.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Marie was a 40 year breast cancer survivor. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. J. Mirchandani and the staff at McLaren Kidney Center, for giving them the extra time with their mother.  Surviving are: 6 children, Patti Allard and husband Rick Riccelli of Plano, TX, Michele Reyes and husband Dr. Eduardo of Petoskey, Ronald Allard and wife Annastasia of San Jose, CA, Matthew Allard and fiance Marie of Flint, Monica Justice and husband Dale of Flint, Rebecca Swales of Corunna; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Therrien of Traverse City; brother, Emil Villarreal of Flint.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.  Online condolences and tribute may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
